For one Central Florida family, that support meant helping a mother with Alzheimer's remain safely in her home. Through home modifications, including grab bars, a widened bathroom doorway, and an electric hospital bed, CIL helped reduce falls, increase accessibility, and provide peace of mind during an incredibly difficult time.
For others, support may look different. It may mean helping a young adult with a disability prepare for employment, connecting a family to resources and support services, providing assistive technology that increases independence, advocating for accessibility and inclusion, or teaching the skills needed to live independently and thrive in the community.
